Rex Butt
Secretary of the Board
At the January 31, 2010 meeting of the Board of Directors, Rex was elected to his second year as Secretary of the Board.
An Associate Professor of Communications Arts and Sciences at Bronx Community College, Rex has served as Secretary of the Center Board for the past year, and also serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Kingston Chapter of PFLAG. He offers the perspective of a heterosexual man who is the father of a transwoman. He is currently writing a book to provide guidance and information for parents of gender-variant and transsexual children of all ages. He is particularly interested in enhancing the Center’s support and programming for youth and for gender-variant and transsexual members of the community.
