Lance Ringel
President of the Board
At their first meeting on January 31, 2010, the new board of directors elected Lance Ringel President of the Board. Formerly, Lance served as Vice President.
Lance’s professional experience includes numerous positions including work for a US Senate Subcommittee and service on Brooklyn Community Board 2. Lance was the principal author of the report from New York Governor Mario Cuomo’s Task Force on Gay Issues and served as Assistant Commissioner of Human Rights for the State of New York. Lance currently works as Director of Communications in the Vassar College Development Office.
A member of the Center’s Communications Committee, Lance provides invaluable guidance on key communications initiatives to the Center. Also a member of the board of directors for the Dutchess County Arts Council, Lance chairs the Allocations Committee. As a member of the Rhinecliff Hamlet Advisory Council, Lance authored the Council’s report to the Town Board on the Draft Comprehensive Plan, and serves as the Council's Liaison to the Waterfront Committee.
