Daniel "Leo" Vogel
At the Annual Meeting on January 29, 2010, Leo was elected to a second term on the Board of Directors.
A freshman at SUNY New Paltz (and previously president of the Gay Straight Alliance at Kingston High School), Leo was first elected to the Center Board last year. He is a student activist at SUNY and has volunteered for the Esopus Library and the Woodstock Film Festival. For the past year, he has been a voice for the particular concerns and perspectives of LGBT youth on the Center Board, an advocacy that he hopes to continue. He created the Center’s occasional film series “Leo’s Picks,” which highlights recent movies of interest to LGBTQ people, and to youth in particular.
