In the gallery through Sunday, October 22
Join Center staff, the artist and friends for the opening event of “Letters to Shakespeare” by Judy Sigunick. A Hudson Valley-based artist, Judy Sigunick creates objects that speak to the depth of Shakespeare’s understanding of life’s complexities.
For this special exhibit, part of the “I, Too, Sing Shakespeare” festival, Sigunick has created a series paintings featuring letters to the Bard, composed as a pronouncement of friendship and shared ideas. Sigunicks paintings, breathtakingly beautiful, suggest collapsed time – bringing Shakespeare’s works and wisdom into our 21st century.
This project was made possible in part through support from the County of Ulster’s Cultural Services & Promotion Fund, administered by Arts Mid-Hudson.
