Want to make your health care center safer and more affirming for LGBTQ patients? Interested in learning LGBTQ patient-centered language to use on intake forms? Curious about LGBTQ-affirming referrals in the region? Join staff from the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center for a 2-hour program where we’ll cover the basics of patient-centered care for LGBTQ people in an effort to reduce health disparities within LGBTQ communities. This program is free of charge and sponsored in part by the New York State Department of Health and the Dyson Foundation.
Those who complete the training will be added to the Center’s directory of LGBTQ-affirming health providers.
The program is intended for staff from all medical fields including doctors, nurses, administrators, social workers, mental health practitioners, and alternative healers.
