PFLAG Kingston

Description: PFLAG, formerly known as Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, is the United States’ largest organization for parents, families, friends, and allies united with people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer (LGBTQ).

Calendar: Meets on the second Wednesday of the month at the Center at 7:00 p.m.

Rainbow Kids

Description: A play and craft group for transgender and gender nonconforming children and their siblings (ages 5–12 years). Knowledgeable community volunteers provide craft activities; $20 materials donation per family. Supportive parents and caregivers meet in a separate room for a discussion facilitated by parents of trans children.

Calendar: meets on the first Sunday of the month, 4–5:30 p.m.

Solidarity Thursday

Join us at the Beverly during the pop-up queer bar “Pansy Club” where the Center offers discussion, materials, and tips on how to take action for LGBTQ justice.

Teen Night

The Hudson Valley Queer Youth Project organizes a monthly teen night for all LGBTQ and allied youth ages 12-19. Teen nights features music, dances, workshops, artmaking, and friends. Planned Parenthood is on the scene to answer questions about sexual health and provide free HIV/STI testing. Suggested donation is $5 but no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.
