Ray Cortes, a Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ resident for nearly a decade, will speak about his practice of Santeria/Yoruba. Ray will share how he employs rituals to embody his “chosen family,” and how this strengthens his life and protects him. Many of us in the LGBTQ+ community share this experience of “chosen” family, and friends, organizations, and spiritual practices, to help us deal with our own pressures and anxieties of everyday life.
