Dear Hudson Valley Community Members,
Huge thanks once again to everyone who participated in our Executive Director Community Feedback Survey during June. We’d promised transparency about survey results, and we are pleased to share a summary report.
• A reminder on our process: A brief survey was made available online and in hard copy, in English and in Spanish, and three open sessions for conversation with Board members were held, all during June. While we did receive some input in person, the results in this summary report were driven mostly by almost 80 online responses.
• Prioritization of most important professional skills and experience, and qualities and values: Respondents were given the opportunity to rank key attributes by level of importance.
• Additional skills/experiences and qualities/values deemed important: Over 100 verbatim comments were analyzed to arrive at a list of other key attributes for our next Executive Director.
• Demographic information: Providing demographic information was optional, but most respondents did share some. We thought it important to be transparent about who responded to this survey and how they chose to identify or not.
Based on your invaluable feedback, an enhanced and complete position description for our new Executive Director is now being created: you made our job easy! We will be sharing the Executive Director position description publicly, along with instructions for applying for the position, within a matter of days – please stay tuned!
