Willie Morris (he/him)
Willie moved to the Hudson Valley in 2017 to serve as Professor of English at SUNY Dutchess Community College.
At D.C.C, Willie has aimed to create courses that better reflect the demographics and perspectives of the Hudson Valley and SUNY Colleges.
Before coming to the Valley, Willie worked and served predominantly Black LGBTQ+ communities through volunteer activities on Chicago’s west side, LGBTQ+ college student organizations, and rural LGBTQ+ communities.
Shanna Nigro-Gonzalez (she/her)
Shanna Nigro-Gonzalez is the Assistant Director for the Cornell Creative Art Center and The Arc Mid-Hudson Foundation in Kingston NY.
With extensive experience in community programming, innovative planning activities, and grant writing, Ms. Nigro-Gonzalez is responsible for developing and maintaining inclusive, diverse, and equitable programming. She has a passion for expanding resources and program access into rural communities.
