LGBTQ history is rarely taught in schools or celebrated in mainstream media. It’s up to us to pass down our stories and write the history left out of textbooks. Join the LGBTQ Center, Kingston Library, and Radio Kingston to celebrate and preserve LGBTQ history. We’ll start with a screening of Coming Out: A 50 Year History, and then record our own stories as part of StoryCorp’s Stonewall OutLoud project. Each of these interviews will become a permanent part of American history at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
