Black & Pink is an abolitionist organization that supports incarcerated LGBTQ+ people, and you can become a part of that support network by connecting with one (or more!) of their incarcerated members as a penpal. The foremost aim of this group is to be a casual space with dedicated time for letter writing. We’ll also hold space for discussions of harm reduction in the criminal justice system and the greater movement toward prison abolition, and offer support for each other as we navigate our own biases and anxieties in a carceral society.

Whether you’re looking for new friendships and community connections, or just to offer a one-time message of support to a queer or trans person on the inside, you’re welcome to join us! We’ll meet at 7:30pm on the first and third Sunday of every month; if you’d like to join, or if you have any questions, please contact Ken Duarte at, or text (774) 538-9045 with your name and email address.
