Hi everyone!

October’s Hudson Valley Queer and Trans Outdoors hike will be…
Onteora Lake Trail in Bluestone Wild Forest
Hurley, NY
Saturday, October 5th, 2019
10:30am
~4 miles, 3 hours
Come out for a perfect fall forest bath! The Onteora Lake Trail in Bluestone Wild Forest has lots of old quarries, lakes, and creeks, maybe some beavers and turtles, hemlock and oak forests, and definitely lots and lots of leaves. Expect a mostly flat trail with some gentle rolling hills. Dog friendly.
DifficultyThis trail is quite flat, with a couple rocky sections, but very little elevation gain – 600 ft over 7.5 miles of trail, of which we’ll only be doing about 4 miles. You can read more about the hike here, and please let us know if you have any questions about what the trail is like!
Directions: Plus 41.98409, -74.08297 into your GPS, or take New York State Thruway (I-87) to Exit 19 (Kingston), then State Route 28 west 3 miles to the Onteora Lake entrance sign on the right. We’ll be there with our flags!

Please RSVP, and email with any questions!

You can also check us out on Facebook or Instagram (@hvqueeroutdoors).

Hope to see you on Oct 5th!

PS: Put our next hikes on your calendar – Sat 11/2 and Sat 12/7!
