Saturday, November 3rd, 2018

~3.75 mile loop, 2.5 hours

GPS: 41.26476, -74.15432

Arden, NY

Come see the glory of Harriman State Park in the Fall! This loop takes us up Green Pond Mountain and around the lovely Island Pond while weaving in and out of the beautiful fall foliage.

Difficulty: This trail has some moderate ascents interspersed with rolling hills. There is one tight& scrambly section (the Lemon Squeezer) which you can also partially detour around. You can read more about the hike on Hike the Hudson Valley, but note that we’ll be doing a much shorter version of it. As always, please let us know if you have any questions about what the trail is like.

Directions: Plug 41.26476, -74.15432 into your GPS, which will bring you to the Elk Pen parking lot. You’ll see us there with our flags. Also check here for more detailed directions. The parking lot can get crowded, so carpool if you can (feel free to post about rides on FB), and please RSVP so you can get our numbers to find us!

You can also check us out on Facebook and Instagram (@hvqueeroutdoors) for more info and trip updates.
