Our Code of Conduct applies to all staff, group facilitators, volunteers, and participants at our on-site, off-site, and virtual programs, events, and counseling sessions. To learn more, click here.

All group facilitators attend mandatory orientation sessions, such as LGBTQ+ Inclusivity and Anti-Bias/Diversity Equity and Inclusion Training.

The Chill Out

Bored? Looking for something to do on a Friday night? Stop by 300 Wall Street Kingston, if that’s the case! Weekly drop-in for teens 14 to 19 years old to play board games, use the computer, socialize, make art, and meet people. The possibilities are endless!

Anthony Cuellar (he/him)
Group Facilitator

Having grown up in the Hudson Valley, Anthony Cuellar (he/him) is very excited to be a part of the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center team and to help create a safe space for our youth. Anthony received his BBA from Pace University in New York City and has worked in the film, media, television, advertising, health, finance, and music industries throughout his career. He is passionate about the issues that our community faces and has been a collaborator, problem-solver and contributor for fundraising events, job fairs, activism, volunteering, and more in New York and online.  Anthony works with our teens as a facilitator for the Chill Out Teen Drop-In.

Esther Rosheger (Any Pronouns) is the Youth Outreach Coordinator at the Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center. Esther has recently moved to the Hudson Valley from Austin, TX where she obtained a Master’s in Social Work at Texas State University. Her field placement took place at Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center where she engaged in outreach programs with people experiencing homelessness. Prior to that, Esther graduated from Humboldt State University located in Arcata, CA in 2021 and achieved a Bachelor’s in Social Work. Their field placement for undergrad was located at The Jefferson Community Center, where they facilitated programs for youth, families, and seniors.

LGBTQIA+ Solidarity for Middle Schoolers

1st & 3rd Mondays, 4:00pm – 5:30pm

This group is all about you, middle schoolers! Discuss current LGBTQ+ topics that impact us, participate in activities, and make new friends! We will come together to help each other navigate through the ups and downs of everyday life, and how we can do our best to be our true selves. All LGBTQIA+ and ally middle schoolers welcome (or ages 10-13).

Erin Garcia (she/they) facilitates the LGBTQIA+ Solidarity for Middle Schoolers group at the center! Erin is 21 years old and am currently studying psychology. They think having a support system at a young age is extremely important and it her goal to make sure everyone can feel safe in their coming out journey.

Queer Youth For Change

Every Wednesday, 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center

Are you interested in finding ways to support your peers and the community? Do you have an idea for a project? This is the group for you!
The Queer Youth for Change Program offers an opportunity for LGBTQ+ youth and ally middle and high schoolers to build skills in leadership, advocacy, and community organizing, all while getting to connect with each other. Here you will learn what it takes to plan and implement ideas, and all the necessary steps in between.
Those who participate in the 12-week program will earn a certificate to include on resumes, college applications, and more! Feel free to join anytime as there will be multiple projects throughout the year. The youth in this program decide what project they would like to develop, so whether it be an event or a drive, it is up to you!

League of Extraordinary Genders

The League of Extraordinary Genders is a group for middle and high schoolers (ages 13-19) trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, and gender-questioning teens to talk, learn, and kick ass together.League takes place online in our discord server where we will support each other and talk about new things each week.
