On Wednesday, February 19th, the Community Center will host its second Town Hall, an opportunity for us to come together to discuss where we are, what we can do and how we can support one another.

When we gathered in November, in the days immediately following the election, we were concerned but didn’t know what to expect. Today, we know. We’ve seen the harmful actions of this administration unfold. The efforts to marginalize our community and to erase transgender individuals is right out in the open. We cannot and will not go back.

For this Town Hall for Community Connection, Collaboration and Action, S. Leigh Thompson-Shealy and Rev. Tobias Anderson return to facilitate and guide us. As with our November Town Hall, we’ll include ample time for small group discussion and for folks to share their concerns and ideas. We’ll talk about what we can do, including upcoming actions in our region.

All are welcome and encouraged to attend — community members and allies alike. While not required, we do suggest registering so we can plan appropriately. To register, click on the button below.

While we want a packed room, the event will be livestreamed on Facebook for those who cannot attend.
